Student Ministries

The mission of First Church Student Ministries is to help all 6th-12th grade students Meet Jesus, Know Jesus, and Follow Jesus.

We are committed to equipping students to grow in their faith, be grounded in God’s word, and discipled to live with a purpose. We achieve this through worship, prayer and teaching that is easy to understand. If you have questions about God, or sometimes doubt or battle your own struggles, this is a place for you.

Sunday AM Groups

Sunday Mornings: Middle School & High School at 9 AM

On Sunday Mornings, we spend time going through God's word, usually focused on a specific book in the Bible, during this time 6th-12th grade students are able to connect with their friends and learn about God through teaching and group discussions.

Sunday PM Groups

Sunday Evenings at First Church of God: 6pm-7:30pm

In our Sunday evening gatherings, we provide a mix of games, worship, teaching, and small group discussions for both middle school and high school students. We create sermon series and teachings that meet students where they are, helping them grow into the people God created them to be through the truth of His Word and the work of Jesus

Meets at specific times through the year

Our Bible quizzing team is an awesome ministry of First Church and challenges our students to not only memorize scripture but learn what it means to truly hide God's word in our hearts. Click the button below for more info on our Bible Quizzing team

Serve

Students will have the opportunity to serve through:

  • Serving the church through the Vibe team, Worship Team, Children's Ministry, and Facilities Team.
  • Invitation of friends into connect groups and into the church.
  • Serving outside the church in Whitley County and beyond.
